In this Ole Makes project, I’m turning inexpensive cedar fence pickets into 12 rustic laser engraved wooden signs covering four of the biggest holidays at the end of the year: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s!
These simple DIY signs are a great way to add a personal touch to your seasonal decorating without spending a fortune. They’re also perfect for handmade gifts, craft fairs, or anyone looking for beginner-friendly laser engraving projects.
One Simple Project, Four Holidays
The idea behind this project is simple: take an inexpensive piece of wood, add a little creativity, and turn it into something worth displaying.
I used cedar fence pickets for these signs, giving each one a rustic appearance that works especially well with the holiday designs. With a laser engraver, a little preparation, and some basic finishing, you can create decorations that look great without requiring expensive materials.
The collection includes 12 different designs, with three signs for each holiday:
- Halloween: Fun, witch-themed signs with a little spooky humor.
- Thanksgiving: Warm messages of gratitude mixed with some lighthearted holiday fun.
- Christmas: Festive designs ranging from traditional holiday cheer to humorous Santa-themed decorations.
- New Year’s: Playful signs celebrating fresh starts, resolutions, and a little mischief.
